Inspired!

It's that time of year again where I am just kind of blah about blogging. But I was inspired today to sew and create, I kind of want to put my kids to bed right now at 4:21 and go sew!! But Unfortunately that is not going to happen and I have a yummy dinner planned with some of my best friends tonight so maybe tomorrow???

So a few months ago I got an email from KATIE! LOVE this girl!! Check out her gorgeous smile!

She asked if I was interested in doing a trade with her and of course I jumped all over that. I LOVE trades! Mostly I love getting special packages in the mail! So I was snooping around her blog and realized if we lived by each other we probably would be best friends! SHE IS DARLING! I love all of cute creations that she makes her girls, she is so talented. Also She has a daughter named Mia, (like me) and her nickname is Moo (like my Madi moo!) too funny!!

So I got busy and started up some stuff for her and she got busy and started some stuff for me and days later we spoiled each other!! She sent me the CUTEST hair clips silk flower ones and a way cute felt flower one. And also the cutest Valentines necklace for my girl ever! So cute!

I love Katie's sewing but I am dying over her jewelry right now! Seriously she is a doll go check her out, you won't be disappointed!!

Free Prints for you!

The other day I was at the bus stop with my little girl. Me and the other mama got chatting and she was telling me about her sisters new etsy shop Couture Prints. (which is way way cheap! so you probably should check her out and do a little Christmas shopping!) Anyways my friend was saying how her sister designs different digital prints and then sells them on Etsy. So I went home checked out her shop and thought, Why am I not printing and framing my own prints of random sayings??? So I sat down and made a few, and it was way fun! I have a few saved and I thought what a fun Christmas gift to get printed and framed for a friend or a sister.

Fast forward to the other night, I was blog hopping around and I ran into THIS cute blog and found this SUPER cute Thanksgiving saying!!

How cute is this??? LOVE it! if you go to her blog she has a PDF format saved for you and you can print your own!! Nice of her! Plus she has tons of other way cute ideas to check out to!

(I have something to admit...Did you know that I had no idea this was a poster from WWII??? Keep Calm and Carry On was a poster produced by the British government in 1939 during the beginning of World War II,  it was intended to raise the morale of the British public under the threat of invasion. It was little known and never used. It was rediscovered in 2000 and now printed all over, for decorations I have seen it in TJMAX, Ross, and tons of etsy shops! Kind of interesting huh? Now that I know the history I like it even much more! )

Anyways! So my question is what kind of creative computer programs do you use to scrap book, edit etc??? I WISH I had photo shop but I don't, and even if I did, I am not sure I have the brains to figure that baby out!!! SO I use Scrapbook Factory Deluxe. I bought it for ten bucks a couple of years ago and I LOVE it! I use it for everything. Invitations, cards, name tags, paper dolls, crafts, all kinds of things. In fact after I saw miss craftily Ever afters print, and even though she was giving it to us for free fifty free, I still wanted to try one out and see how close I could get...

Pretty close, but I am loving her turkey way better!
So what do you use???
Is there some awesome program out there that I am totally missing out on?

When I saw how awesome Jessica was at CrafitlyEverAfter for giving us all free access to her art I decided I would add a PDF file of one of my own. I chose this one...

because I think it takes courage to share your ideas and talents with everyone! It's scary putting yourself out there! So I am thinking this would be cute printed, matted, and framed as a little reminder to share what you got!!!

Thanks Jessica and Couture Prints for giving me a little inspiration!

Finger Puppet Stocking Stuffers!

SERIOUSLY!! You know me I LOVE a good etsy shop, and I also love CUTE AND CHEAP!! Check out these darling finger puppets! I don't know about you and your kiddies but my kids Love love love to hear stories especially when we use picture books, flannel boards, or puppets. My cute friend Marie (you should check her out too) emailed me and introduced me to this shop. I love this idea for my kids Christmas stockings. Marie was able to actually meet these cute shop owners and said that they had all kinds of story sets such as the three little pigs, little Red riding hood, and even the nativity set. How darling! I can't wait to put my order in. The best part is that each puppet is only $2.00 each. Or if you are able to attend a boutique I guess their boutique prices are only $1.00 a piece! So if you live in UTAH (woo wooo) check out these boutiques and you find these darling puppets in person! (oh how cute would this be for a gift with the puppets and the actual book!!)

A gift for that sewer that you love!

I was at the fabric store yesterday and I ran across this book. It looked fun and sew cute. Yes, a lot of the projects are pretty basic projects that I could and have figured out by myself. But I still want the book! :) I love new ideas and having them all right there together with different color schemes and new ways of doing things, ways that I woud prob have not thought of. And then I got thinking about all of my amazing friends who want to learn to sew or who are just starting out and what an awesome Christmas gift this would be! So At the fabric store it is $22.00 and on amazon it is $11.36 Anyways I just thought it was a great idea and had to share! If you like it to0 send your cute hubby or mama over here have them click on the pics and they can purchase right from Amazon!

If we haven't thought of something new, maybe something from the shop, any requests???? Ok enough talking...

This is Beth and her Boys:

She Says:

I am a wife and Mom of two precious boys. I love fashion, shopping, art, crafting and nothing gets my fancy as finding beauty in something ugly. Making old things into new things and vintage finds are just awesome! I have turned my obsessions into a little online boutique to share my eye for fashion and hand crafted jewels with others. I have in my boutique everything a girl could want. Everything from sterling silver and precious gems to designer fun silver plated jewelry. I also carry an assortment of handbags that I carefully pick out myself and would myself and do carry. I from time to time have my own E.G.O. Design handbags for sale as well. I have a selection of unique key chains, handmade and fun beaded gift items perfect for holidays, birthdays or any time you need to lift a girl's spirits.

Some Cute Stuff in Beth's shop:

This Brown Canvas Tote is a fairly large tote made of sturdy canvas with a pocket on the front in patchwork fabric. Very cute for fall and winter. Should hold everything but the kitchen sink kind of bags

This Pretty Pink Necklace is a makeup of pink glass beads, pink tourmaline chips all on a silver chain. Very sweet!

Congrats Beth, we hope you enjoy your scarf as much as we do!!
