Maybe I'm crazy!
Ok so I just got on KSL classifieds and purchased a piano for $20.00!! I'm not going to lie I am a little nervous. The hubs has to go pick it up on Monday and it NEEDS to be refinished. That's why I am getting it for $20.00 bucks. But I am kind of excited about it. SOOOO I am hoping people out there are reading this and want to give me some advice on colors!! Especially those of you who have been in my house. I originally was thinking I was going to just stain it, but I think I am going bold and beautiful! Thanks to this Design Mom I love this mama's piano she painted. Isn't that Fabulous!! So what color people????? Laci are you there?? I need help!!! Wish me luck! Oh and so the colors of my house, I have this weird mustardy yellowish paint all over, (Kind of wishing I could repaint the whole house right now!) Blue couches, brown curtains??? I'm thinking maybe a blue or grey piano?? Or I could always just be boring and go with brown. HELP?

I so almost did this like 5 months ago! I found a piano for FREE on craigslist here, but I had no way to get it to our apartment. And I didn't think Jus would appreciate me hauling it up 3 flights of stairs. Bummer! But I'm excited to see yours! I was going to do mine yellow. However, yellow wouldn't be the greatest in your house. I'd say blue or a gray might be cool! So fun. Can't wait to see it.
I don't know about colors, but that is a greast buy! Congratulations!
What?! Have we talked about this? I died over her post and have been looking for one sense. I'm jealous! I want mine canary yellow or a great green. I don't remember your colors? Sooo exciting! ahh man-
Ers and Laci great minds think alike!! Funny thing is, I just decided yesterday afternoon that I wanted a piano. I had no idea how excited I would be and how fun this could turn out! Love that we are all thinking the same! I have weird paint colors on my walls that kind of limit my options, I am wanting to repaint the whole dang house now, but it's a mustardy yellowish. My couches are blue and brown curtains. Ers I was thinking the same as you either a blue or grey, then I got thinking maybe a bright turquoise blue???
I think RED would go with all those colors, but it might have to be the right color of red. Just a thought. I love red as an accent color and then you could do other accents in your room w/red. Good luck! Can't wait to see what you decide.
Orange! I'm thinking a brownish orange and not a yellow orange. It would really stand out and it would be in the same family as your wall color and a great accent to your blue color. When you get lots of compliments on it you can say it was your cool sis-in-law's idea.
White, if you can't have a white baby grand then fake it. White would look super stylish, just put lots of color accents with it, like bright flowers, turquoise picture frames, etc.
